Do not be fooled by appearances, the sound in this little guy and the storage are stellar! It's so easy to carry around, and it just brings me nostalgia of the early 2000s. The quality of the sound is amazing, but you definitely have to get great headphones first to match it with. I still need to learn how to transfer the songs with my phone. (I already transfered around 700 songs with my PC, and barely the memory has been full!) It's extra but I do wish I could personalize the color of the selected items. The battery is amazing, I haven't had it go low on battery yet, it feels eternal.

This is a review of the 64GB USB MP3 Player with Bluetooth, AGPTEK U5PL. I like many aspects about this nifty MP3 player. It's tiny and lightweight, so very easy to clip on my shirt or throw in a pocket. I can use my wired earphones and the sound is very good. I successfully connected my JLab bluetooth earbuds as well. The default volume for those was too quiet, which happens with those on a lot of devices for some reason, but the volume range was vast enough that I could crank it up and hear just fine. On some songs, the display only shows the filename playing, but on others it also shows the artist. I'm guessing this is due to some missing data in the file's internal tags. Naturally, no songs show cover art, but I didn't expect that. Navigation is fairly intuitive and the display shows quite a bit of information for being such a small size (date, battery level, song number, song duration, play mode, etc.). Loading files from my PC is easy since it's basically a thumb drive. Apparently there's a recording feature as well, but no built-in microphone, so either an external one or a line-in cable is required. My microphone is USB and I have no line-in cable readily available, so I couldn't test this. It would have been nicer to record without accessories so that I could record myself notes when I'm out and about, but I likely would have only used that rarely. This is a fun little player and easy to use! Weirdly, though, it randomly turns itself on without even touching it, and continues to play songs and use the battery. This is annoying and a little freaky to hear faint sounds across the room coming through the earphones.

The battery in this player is said to charge in 2.5 hours, not mentioned is the player turns on of it's own accord, eats the battery's charge and shuts back down when the power is gone. I walk regularly and intended to use this every day following work as I walk, however on a full charge when I leave for work, with the player powered OFF, when I arrive home and turn it on the power has been exhausted completely. So I cannot afford the 2.5 hours required to charge it and end up using an alternative for music every time. The battery will not hold a charge, if this is a defective unit so be it, however I see other reviews ranking down the battery as an issue, so the issue is far from just my unit. During the weekend, when I don't work, I check the unit and find it playing despite having been powered off after full charge.

Won’t take songs downloaded from your computer

I ordered this, expecting it to be something. I could download my music from my computer onto since it had a flash drive. It accepted the music from my computer. The computer let me know when the flash drive was full. I then attempted to play the music without any success. The radio worked just fine, but that was all.
The company said they wanted to help, but then they said oh! Sorry it is because it only accepts MP3 songs that is why it failed. That was the end of their service help. I recommend if you want one that will accept downloads from your computer, get the AGPTEK it accepts downloads from the computer without any problems at all. Save your money don’t buy this one.

Will not connect to vehicle via Bluetooth

I only bought this to use in my vehicle via Bluetooth, and it will not connect via Bluetooth so pretty useless for my needs. I have a2023 Kia Niro and the USB connection has an issue and keeps disconnecting after a few minutes of use. The phone will work just fine via Bluetooth, but then I forget the phone in the car... I am now trying a different product to achieve Bluetooth connection that will work.

About 40 years ago, I listened to recorded music played by cassette decks (Walkman etc.). I could listen to music for about an hour continuously if the tape was not eaten on the road by the cassette deck. A few years before then, recorded music was played by magnetic tapes mounted on machines weighing some twenty pounds in weight, with turning knobs like door knobs in my front door. It was good and bad; good because I could spend some of my time with my family members or friends when favorite music could not be played endlessly; bad because cassette decks and tapes were not cheap, not to mention finding the songs was a pain.
Today with less than CDN$40, I can buy an AGPTEK music player with radio, the weight of which (25g) can almost be implanted in my body. As I am typing, I have been listening to my favorite music for the last 24 hours. I went to bed with it. When I woke up, the music was still playing. The earphones fell off somehow. Meanwhile the quality of the music is still as good as what I heard 24 hours ago. No glitches, no loss.
This player was first available on Oct 11, 2023. I googled it. I think that this player is the smallest one (in size) in market today. 64gb memory space is not the smallest capacity for storing songs, but is more than enough for installing thousands of songs for most music lovers As far as power goes, I do not worry about the rechargeable battery inside will die one day because I can then use the player as a memory stick. An average memory stick of 64gb alone nowadays costs about $10 on the average.
If you are reading my comments, I would like to tell you an important point: that Bluetooth 5.3 is a lot better than Bluetooth 5.0. You have to try and compare them. Hearing is believing.
