These little half ball stands are awesome!
The perfect height to prop up my laptop to allow air flow, but yet short enough for it to fit underneath my monitor stand. Regular cooling pads/stands are usually too wide or too tall to fit under a monitor stand, so finding these little half balls that each have barely a 2" footprint was perfect.
They're covered in silicone so they have a slight grip (but not sticky) to keep the laptop from slipping.
The magnets to hold the half balls together for storing/travel is pretty weak, but I'm ok with that since that means they won't fry my hard drive.
The only "nice-to-have" item would be if they came with a small carry pouch. But, that can be easily gotten elsewhere.
Overall, these are the ideal "cooling pad" alternative.
I highly recommend them and would buy again.
