Purchased this product as I didn’t want to buy a large piece of equipment to store in my garage. Easy to install. Directions were a little difficult to follow but once in a groove became easy. My bike has mountain tires so it’s a tad noisy but nothing too crazy. For the price and ease there are no complaints. 5 stars!

Also, there is a long shaft with springs & an open/close handle. It's not pictured in instructions so, not sure what it's for. The trainer stand is ok, price is reasonable, so will use it for now.

I will admit that due to low funds, I opted to buy the cheapest bike trainer I found. I was expecting to get something that was subpar, but instead, I've gotten something that appears to be great quality. So let's just say that this trainer is not "cheap" in any way, it just doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Assembly was pretty easy and only required me to attach the resistance wheel and adjustment dial. The adjustment dial is cable-driven and has a quick-release clamp so you can attach it to your handlebars.

Now I’ve seen a few reviews where people say that they don’t get enough resistance from the resistance wheel. At first, I experienced this, but after a while, I realized that you want to establish the amount of resistance by using both the adjustment dial as well as the gears on your bike. This gives you more room to adjust between whether or not you’re going for a light cardio-based workout or something heavier that pushes your leg muscles.

As far as the noise, yes depending on the types of tires you are using, this stand may or may not be noisy. For obvious reasons, if you were to connect a stereotypical ten-speed bike with smooth tires to this, I imagine you wouldn’t hear too much noise because the friction would be smooth. As for me, I have a mountain bike attached with big bumpy tires made for biking through the woods, so it makes a ton of noise. It doesn’t matter to me at all, it’s quite the trade-off for the price. With limited space, I didn’t want to have both a bike and an exercise bike taking up room, plus an exercise bike would have cost more. Taking all this into consideration, this was a worthwhile purchase.

This is a good bike stand, and is just what we wanted. It is a little loud, and the tension dial doesn't work too well. It is a compact size, so you can store it when it's not in use. I would recommend this for someone looking for an affordable bike stand that works pretty well.
