The item has a flimsy zipper but so far we didn’t have any issues with it. It works for what it’s intended and covers the whole car seat easily, it is very dark when it’s on, even when the front is unzipped. So in the back of the car the mirror and the camera won’t show the baby but it covers bright lights from stores enough to let baby sleep.
