Here is my honest thoughts about this.

Layout: The the Dominator's button location is a little bit of a weird position and kind of hard to use and how you have to press it. For me and my hands at least and I've been told i have large hands. But i highly recommend getting the eliminator instead just for the simple fact that the buttons are in a rather natural hand/finger placements. Easiest way to map the paddles/buttons is to hook it up to your laptop/computer and do it from there. Pretty simple once you get the hang of it. Paddles do feel kind of cheapish but i didn't expect something high grade. But comparing to buying a $200 elite series 2 controller that has its own flaws (Stick drift, Buttons sticking, etc) This is a wonderful cheaper alternative and in my opinion it works just as well. but again i would go with the eliminator and not dominator.

Mods: Yes they work and they work as intended. I know a lot of people "Say" they don't use them but lets be honest. But you really need to pay attention how to navigate through it. I've seen where people say they don't work but really its something you have to understand and take time learning how to modify and reading the instructions given to you because it will explain. Its not something you just hook up and go (it can be once you set it up the way you like it.). If the strike pack is NOT turning on like how the instructions state, just unplug/re-plug the power cord from the controller and retry. I have to do this each time at first start up.

Over all I love it and have been using it going on a month now and i haven't had no problems with it.

UPDATE 5/2/2024: Strike pack is still feeling solid with no complaints.

The only problem is the paddles, the material is not great, and it feels like breakable but they do the job, the software and plataform are super easy and this is why you bought this product works great if you are a console player you get an extra boost with anti recoil etc. against PC players.

First off, when you get everything going, you will see that there are'nt that many games you can mod. It has packs available for some major names like cod, apex, rnbw 6, but seems to have no potential to download mods or even be able to tweak a few in game features for games not listed. You can return it, but it's gonna take up to 30 days for them to potentially give you a refund and not to mention you have to get it to a shipping store which is difficult if you are somewhere for work and do not have your own transportation which can end up costing more than the product itself. So with this thing not being able to work with every game, has little to no support, and the refunding process, I do not think this product is worth buying.

So I love Collective Minds accessories. In the past I've used the Xbox 1 Dominator and the PS4 chat pad. Both worked well for what I used them for. The strike packs are an affordable alternative if you cant get your hands on a custom/pro controller and want to game.

I gave 4 stars on the Eliminator only because the setup was very difficult to get around. My back buttons weren't working at all at first and was trying to troubleshoot as to why. Here are the 2 solutions I found.

1) Be sure to shut off your PC's Bluetooth upon first connection.

Probably a no brainer for some but the detection can be interefered with since the strike pack wants to register everything through the cable ( as intended ). Also check the Xbox accesories app to see if your controller is connected aswell as this can affect it.

2) And this is the important part, MAKE SURE TO UPDATE THE STRIKE PACKS FIRMWARE!!! You can do this via downloading the "Mod Central" software from the Collective minds site. Updating was very simple once I got everything ready, and when updating make sure to only have the strike pack plugged in and connected to your PC ( obviously ) because again the pack cant be detected if its attached with your controller.

I use the eliminate mainly for Halo and after mapping my buttons it works perfectly. This version is very ergonomic compared to the Dominator and seems far more durable besides. I had one of the back paddles break of my old one so the Elimator is a nice change. The universal version of the Elimator is a very nice touch aswell allowing you to swap it between a newer Xbox series X/S controller to an older Xbox 1 controller.

Finally a four paddle strike pack. This is definitely their best one yet with much more responsive and better placed paddles. My only hiccup was I forgot to update the strikepack at first so it wouldn't connect to the App at first, but after i updated the strike pack it worked like a charm. Great app that really lets you configure everything with ease.

I’ve only been using it for a couple of days now but the buttons in the back are super responsive, I don’t know how to use the mods and don’t really plan on using them I’ve only been using one mod which is the turbo 2.0 for crouch spam in siege because it makes people mad and it’s funny, and the 4 buttons on the back are remapable to anything and it’s extremely comfortable and the buttons are in the perfect position. The cord that plugs into the controller is a bit difficult to get into the strike pack and controller but either than that it’s amazing and have had no problems
