A decent vacuum sealer that does it's job adequately.
I really wanted this value vacuum sealer to work, so I was pretty disappointed with my first attempt. You can see in the pics that, when I sealed some homemade beef jerky, it sealed very well. The problem is that within 20 minutes, the air all leaked out. I then tried twice more by cutting the same bag down and re-sealing, but it was the same result. That's when I read the troubleshooting tips and took more care to 1) Make sure the sealing area was clean, and 2) I placed the bag correctly. After doing that, it worked. I've sealed a few things since with no issues, so I have to assume it was user error. I give it 4 stars only because I feel I have to be extra careful when sealing, but it's still a good value and seems to be working just fine.

I needed a vacuum food sealer and I didn't want to but the expensive brand and I saw this one had over a thousand good reviews and it was less than $30 at the time. I decided it was worth it to try. It has pretty strong vacuum pressure and it worked for for the clear plastic bags and the mylar pouches. It does come with one replacement seal and a few sample bags that work good. Overall it's perfect for my occasional needs and it is a great value. Cheap and effective.

Decided on this vacuum sealer after reviewing several others in the same general price range. I can't compare this machine to any others as this is my first sealer but it works better than I had hoped and was very inexpensive. Highly recommend.

The Bonsenkitchen Vacuum Sealer Machine works as expected. I have a much larger food saver that I like for vacuum sealing a lot of items, but it is just too big to leave on the counter for daily uses like resealing chip bags and to put a quick vacuum on a mason jar. When I got tyhe Bonsenkitchen Vacuum Sealer Machine I was worried as it feels a bit cheap, but after using it I found that it works well. It does not pull quite as much suction as my food saver, but it is more than enough to pull the air out of the bags. The sealing function works well and I like that it locks on both sides vs the one on many lower end vacuum sealers. One odd thing is you have to press and hold the sealer button (at least on my unit) vs just press like on the other sealers I have used. Overall this is a decent compact vacuum sealer that has earned its place on my counter.
