While the pump did send water to the drain tune it also leaked on the bottom of the unit. It did not leak where the hose connected in the back. I returned it.

I cannot say enough about this unit. It far exceed’s my expectations. I started out with several “electronic” dehumidifiers with a capacity of around 100 ounces. The last of these units took almost a week to get to the point it needed emptying. I then bought this GE unit with a capacity of 50 pints ( 800 ounces) and it filled to capacity in just under a day. I now have had the unit for 6 weeks and have to empty it every day. It is located in my master bedroom. Since it started removing moisture, I have found the following, Bathroom door closed without rubbing door jamb, 3 dresser drawers now open and close without sticking, feather pillows are almost twice as fluffy, memory foam mattress no longer feels damp upon entry, bedding feels fresh. Highly recommend!

Basement and it’s not warm enough for it to work yet but energy great still don’t know weather noise is less of easy of use easy to unpackage and delivery was great the only thing I did not like was I thought due to picture it was black but actually gray but that was only negative .

The unit is attractive and easy to set up and use. And, it has wheels which makes it easy to move. The unit works great. It collected a good amount of water in a short time. The settings panel is easy to understand and use. Negative: the fan is a bit noisy, on both speeds (high and low). We placed the unit in the basement and one cannot hear the fan upstairs on main level.

This dehumidifier works great. It really pulls a lot of water. The bucket portion is easy to empty and holds a lot of water. It keeps the room at the humidity level set and it doesn't fluctuate much at all. Is has an ability to run a standard garden hose as well and that is a nice feature as long as the water is running downhill. I decided not to get the version without the pump because the hose works great and the bucket is not an issue to empty. Overall we are very happy with this purchase. There are a lot of dehumidifiers out there and this on seems to do what it does very well.

Immediately upon plugging it in, I noticed that some of the lights (fan speed, smartdry) weren't working. I thought "well, I just want it to dehumidify so, not a big enough deal to hassle with returning." Anyway, it seemed to run fine for a few days and I emptied it a few times when it was getting full. Then, it started making a loud grinding sound and wasn't working. I had to go through the hassle of returning this very heavy item after all but was able to use the packaging from the replacement unit they sent. So far, it seems to be working well.

This dehumidifier does seem to dehumidify a space -- so that's something.

A lot of the other critical reviews nailed it. It runs louder than I was expecting. Depending on where you're stashing it that might not be much of an issue for you.

The hose needed for the pump was not included. The Amazon listing says a hose is included. There's a sticker on the unit itself insisting that the hose is included. But there's no hose anywhere to be found.

It would be comical, but you can't just go out and buy a garden hose to replace it. The pump seems to need a narrower diameter hose to push the water. A garden hose probably works if you're just letting gravity do the work, but if you didn't need the pump you wouldn't be buying this version anyway.

Until I get the hose situation straightened out I'm having to manually empty it. What a pain.

I have a small 560 sq. ft. apartment. It was so wet/humid in here that my toilet tank had condensation on it at all times, which would lead to puddles on my bathroom floor. My double pane windows were soaking wet inside every day. It was disgusting! The first 25 hours I used this dehumidifier, it pulled 3 gallons of water out of the air. The next day it pulled 2 gallons out. I no longer have puddles on my bathroom floor and my windows are now dry! I’ve been using this for about two weeks now and it has completely changed my world. I know that sounds dramatic, but if you can imagine 3 gallons of water being in this little apartment’s air and now it is dry, yeah, that’s a big deal! Just as an FYI, I paid $269 for this dehumidifier.
