    First, I gave this product only 3 stars because the product description is wrong. It claims to read floppies, tapes, and ZIP Drives. But it only works with 3-1/4 inch floppies. Tapes and Zip Drive cartridges both require completely different devices than this one. That said, the low rating is so a prospective buyer doesn’t wind up with a product that doesn’t do what they thought they were purchasing. Now, for what it does do – read and write 3-1/4 inch floppies – it works great. In fact, if the product description was accurate, I would have no problem giving this item a 5-star rating. I especially like that the cable has a USB-A connector, but the product also includes a USB-A to USB-C converter. So, I can use it with either style of connector on my computer. I tested it be reading and writing floppies, and it worked as expected. I tried it on both a Windows 10 PC and an older 2011 MacBook Pro running High Sierra, and it worked on both computers. Even though floppy disks are a thing of the past, I, and probably many others, still have them with data we’d like to be able to access again. This inexpensive device will allow us to do that. So, if you’re looking for a floppy disk drive with a USB interface, don’t let the 3-star rating stop you from getting this item. But don’t expect it to work with tapes or Zip Drives.
