Got this on sale, but it was worth every penny, even if I had bought it at full price. Clear glass, good reticle, the whole package. Solid. Seems to do very well in low light, and the color shifts aren't nearly as apparent as they are with lower-cost scopes. I have it mounted on a 6.5 Grendel, and it rocks.
I'll be honest, I was a little worried that this would be an old version that was not really up to par with Bushnell's revamp of their line. Fairly recently, they re-tooled their lineup of scopes, and there really isn't a bad option anymore. Even the straight Banner models are awesome. But looking around online for a manual or good info in the Trophy XLT was not really productive. Even the Bushnell website was sparse on info when it came to this exact model, and wasn't as complete as it should have been. Specs are missing. But I took a chance, and I'm glad I did. It really is good. To differentiate, look for the vertical logo on the objective lens (old), and compare it to the newer version which is horizontal. I'm guessing this started this around 2015, but that is just a guess. My box had a copyright date of 2020, so I'm banking that it is a re-tooled version.
Yes, it is made in China. But I will ask you the question...what isn't these days? I'm not rich, so I have to take deals that I can find for the budget I have. It is the true "unfortunate truth" about things like this.
A side note, I did download the Bushnell ranging app. It is atrocious, and I deleted it almost immediately. Just FYI. If you download it, you'll understand why.
If you want a decent sub-bill scope that will deliver the goods, then this might be it. As always, though, YMMV.
