I needed some donor cassettes to repair some damaged pre-recorded tapes, and needed the cassette mechanism to be screwed together as opposed to glued. They were screwed together, as shown in the picture, and so were easy to open and scavenge for parts.
I have not tried the tapes to assess the sound quality because I did not buy them to record with, but the quality of the mechanism is very good and the parts were an excellent fit for my old but valued tapes.
