The light bulb inside is very visible and the light is brighter than I wanted. If you decrease the wattage you won't get the correct amount of heat so I painted the interior with a heat safe paint in a dark color and I am much happier with it. I love the pattern it throws on the walls and it heats the wax quickly. Would reccommend.
