    The theme of this book nook kit is supposedly cyberpunk, but it is really a mishmash of 50's retro rock-and-roll and some 80's sci-fi motif. Nevertheless, it is a fun build. Everything went together well and it makes use of some translucent acrylic parts for a nice effect. It also uses fairy light LEDs, so there are many lights of different colors in the kit. One minor criticism is the instructions repeatedly say something like "wrap the part with one or two lights" when what you really want to do is wrap 8 or 9. It always says "one or two lights". Just look ahead in the instructions so you have an idea where the string of lights is going and how long it will need to be. If there are extra lights they will just end up under the floor, which is one of the translucent parts, resulting in a nice effect not mentioned in the instructions. One other issue was that the finger sensor quit working when it was installed in the kit. Just turn the power off and back on to reset it. Then it works fine.

    Ensure you purchase glue and a small paintbrush for the glue, and you'll need an exacto knife or box cutter. The wood pieces are cut, but not all the way and a kitchen knife was not small enough to help.

    Besides that...this is beautiful! I wish I was finished with it, but I'll update it as time permits. I spent an hour or two on cutting out all the book covers and gluing them on the book blocks. There are not a lot more intricate parts to work on, so it should go quickly from here on out.

    It is crafted well and it looks super pretty. I cannot wait to see it completed!

    Reviewing DIY Miniature Book Nook Kit, I love doing Book Nooks. This is an average kit. The pieces are easy to disconnect from each sheet and put together. The instructions are great, and the colors are vivid. The scene I ordered is a little discombobulated, but it’s supposed to be: Endless Dimensions. The lights on this one are extensive and awesome. They make this unique among other book nooks.

    However, get some nice, sharp scissors and something to smooth things through and weigh stuff down. You will get a neater look.

    Got this as a sort of friend project, so I can teach how to build one. I started doing bookends when I first started doing these sets and it usually is quicker and easy to finish one of these provided that they do not too much lighting. This one was an excellent break in lesson and I have added another to the DIY legion!
