I bought this as a gift for someone, and one night I was super anxious and decided to open this myself and build it to relieve some stress. (I then bought a second one to replace the gift!)I can confidently say NEW HOBBY UNLOCKED!Get a good glue that bonds quickly. I started with Gorilla Glue super glue and that was not a good choice. Ended up getting Beacon 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue and it worked great. I'd recommend making all of the books first. PUT IT TOGETHER BY THE DIRECTIONS. Some of the pieces (table legs, wall sconces) are VERY flimsy and need to be handled very gently. I tried to put it together and add the books in at the end but I had to break open the back wall bookshelf to get the books in. Don't do that.I had 31 extra wooden books, more than the directions called for, as well as 4 larger and 1 small "poster" leftover. I didn't like that most of the book covers were dark colors so they kind of all looked the same. I did glue most of the books into the shelves because I got tired of them falling out. I wish they had made some larger size books as well to change it up a bit.The "clear tape" pieces included are pretty useless and not sticky enough. The dust cover should definitely be included. Recommend having a pair of tweezers, or a craft/model tool kit with you. I didn't sand anything but it might have helped with some of the alignment of some of the pieces.UPDATE 12/18/23: So the second kit I got from this seller is...confusing. This one had a much nicer package and a dust cover! Not cool. I purchased from the same page/seller for both, and I won't be using this seller again - not sure why such inconsistencies.Second update: 12/26/2023 - the second kit that I got to give as the gift contained lights that don't all work, no board C, and dust cover instructions but no actual dust covers! CHECK YOUR PARTS BEFORE BUILDING. Kind of defeats the purpose. Disappointing. Emailed seller per manual instructions, we'll see what happens.Third update - 12/27: Seller responds, asking for my mailing info and to check what else is missing. I replied with this info on 12/28.12/29: Seller responds asking me to send them pictures of the box. I respond with pictures 12/30.1/3: Now seller responds asking me to send pictures of the *assembled* kit, so they can see what kind of dust cover it uses, which apparently can only be discerned by me building it and sending pictures??? I had hand surgery 1/5, and I can't build this properly even if I wanted to because THE LIGHTS DON'T WORK and it's missing board C! I responded 1/12 with a picture of the walls and roof balanced together. There's ZERO reason for this nonsense. Downgraded to 1 star because of the seller, steer clear of them. Definitely feels like they're stalling to get me to give up. In their first email they said they were sending me a replacement kit - why all the need for pictures and so many details about a defective kit???
