We purchased this for a glass door that goes onto the porch. It replaced "wood" blinds that didn't completely cover the door. We couldn't lock down the blinds and then let full light. The Zebra shades do it all! The size is perfect. Easy installation. The "open" is fine for filtered light although we raise it high during the day. At night, we pull down to the "closed" mode. It does let outside light in - if you are looking for blackout shades, these are not the ones. But for privacy, easy of installation, use, and look, these are definitely the ones. I only wish I could find in a very narrow width to do our front door sidelights.

I said I think I chose the gray color which actually is more like a real light color so if you’re wanting something to darken the room make sure you go with the dark blackout colors, but these are very nice.

I tried a few different shade options from Amazon before settling on the Persilux zebra option. Most either felt flimsy or had a crummy mechanism for rolling up and down the blinds consistently. I've been incredibly happy with the Persilux. I've ordered 6 different shades of various sizes and colors, and all of them worked great. I wish the included screws were longer so that they could more consistently get into the window headers, right now the anchors are too long and have to be cut and the screws don't quite reach any of my headers, but the shades themselves are solid, high quality, and have 0 issues opening and closing consistently. Plus, they look great!

Good quality and smooth mechanism. Delivery was quick for a custom made item. Price was about 1/4 of the cost for a comparable custom made order from a specialized store in my area.

I snapped a supplied screw in half while inserting it in a pilot hole I previously made. Looks like it was made of cheap grade alloy. I used a manual screw driver to avoid applying too much torque.

So far it is great and communication with the vendor was good as well. Hopefully they last and continue working well so I can get a few years of trouble free operation out of them
