Good pedal power supply
This power supply works great. It is rated for 9V at 1A (1000 mA), so it can be used for a variety of devices, and several examples are listed on the product page. If you are using it for effects pedals, you could power more than one pedal if you connect a daisy-chain adapter to it, as long as you don't exceed 1000 mA. I tried the power supply with different brands of pedals and there were no issues, it works as expected. A green LED on the back indicates that the power supply is working. Depending on the orientation of the outlets you are plugging into will determine the space required. If they are oriented side-by-side like the power strip in the photo I have uploaded, the power supply will need to plug into the last outlet to avoid blocking other outlets. If the outlets are oriented vertically then this power supply will not block any other outlets. I would recommend this power supply if you need to provide power to a single pedal.

I got this adapter for my Casio keyboard and also my guitar pedals. Both use the same type of adapter, which is pretty universal for instrument pedals. The Amazon description states that this adapter is for a variety of Boss Guitar Pedals. However, the voltage (9VDC), the capacity (1A), and plug size/polarity seems to be the same for many different pedals from various manufacturers. All of these checked out for my application.
This adapter supplied power to three or four guitar/bass pedals (none of which are Boss) and my old Casio keyboard. It worked properly on all.

In my experience transformers don't kill guitar pedals. Humans kill guitar pedals. By plugging in center-positive power sources. I've done it, and known others who have too. But I've never known a transformer with the correct specs to kill a pedal. I'll likely buy one or two more of these to have as backups.

Wall-warts were one of the first places I noticed the 'unbranded' phenomenon which has expanded to encompass nearly everything. (Sorry Jetersen fanboys) I plugged this in when it arrived and checked it with a multimeter. It puts out 9.5 volts, which is 5% above stated. The polarity is correct. It is intelligently designed so it doesn't block adjacent outlets. Costs a third of the branded one.Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2024
