I like the optics and appreciate the location of the focus knob. However, the zoom portion is very difficult in colder weather needing two hands to zoom in to the target/area. The scope is well balanced and fits a number of different tripods. I wish they had a better way to retain the eye cover as it gets blown around if not placed out of the way when in use. The front cover is well made and doesn't seem to get in the way when used in the wind.

I bought this after buying a cheaper one on Amazon from china. The cheap one was so bad you could barely see bullet holes in a target at 100 yards. This scope allowed me to see bullet holes in a shoot n see target out to atleast 400 yards. I also took it on a mule deer hunt and was able to make out weather deer were does or bucks over a mile away. My buddy has a vortex spotting scope and it is better. The difference in glass quality is noticeable but not so drastic that I feel the need to trash this one and spent 3 times as much on the one he has. A great beginner scope
