We purchased this new through Amazon on Aug. 7, 2007. About 6 months ago it became harder and harder to adjust the volume using the remote. It now has started doing its own thing such as turning the volume down to almost nothing when the increased volume is pressed. Then you actually hurt your thumb trying to get the volume back up. The center oval button/wheel has also started doing its own thing with the worse being switching between guides when you only pressed to see what is on the next channel up or down. Also, lately the screen on the remote has been going blank after only a few seconds and shaking it no longer brings up the screen as it used to be designed to do. You now have to push a button.

It was really nice (as reviewed) for the first 2 1/2 years until it started giving up the ghost. When this remote stops working right, we use the individual devices remotes which work fine. I need to replace this unit before it ends up going through a window on the way to a trash can. BTW We only use it in the Master Bedroom.
