The shoulder strap doesn’t stay on the shoulder well. My toddler kept asking to get out and even though he wanted to be held. It’s not the easiest to get situated but, not complicated by any means. Wasn’t a good fit for us.

This hip carrier works well to take some weight off your arms and put it into your hip for carrying a baby or toddler. The design we have is NOT what's pictured in this listing. The listing shows a sling-type style. The design we have looks like more of a structured fanny pack that functions as a seat for the child.

***This review is for the KIDIRA cloth wrap baby carrier not the sling (listing seems to have changed).

The wrap is soft, stretchy and has a pocket on the front making it super easy to know where the center is so you can line it up properly to tie onto your body. I’ve used this on my 19lbs., 7 month old since she was a newborn, it keeps her snug and cozy, so I can be hands free and get work done. I’ve even used it with my 30lbs., 3 year old and although not as supportive with her weight, it still worked when we were on a long walk and she was tired.

Like other reviews you see with a grey hip seat, this is the product I'm reviewing. It looks like the seller changed the product and now it's a black fabric sling style.

The grey flat shelf product works amazing with toddlers, especially for men who don't have that natural hip to rest the child. I was able to throw my baby and toddler on my hip shelf and carry them around without issue. The product quality feels great, seems like a really well-made product and doesn't feel cheap at all. There is also some storage to carry little things in it if needed.

Overall, I really like this product and it doesn't exactly what it sets out to do. I can't speak to the current product listed that is a sling.

**Note: The product I'm reviewing is NOT the sling style carrier that is currently in the listing. It is a strap on the hip style seat.**

The KIDIRA Baby Hip Seat Carrier is great for carrying our toddler. It's supportive and helps take the strain off your back.
It's very easy to pick up the child and plop them on the seat. It really helps to redistribute the weight to make it much more comfortable to carry the big kids. Our 2 YO is about 25 lbs and even with her flailing about, I was easily able to keep control.

One warning: The velcro strap that secures the seat around the waist will not accommodate a very large person. It did reach around my slightly overweight wife, but if much larger, it wouldn't have worked.

Not only does it make carrying our 24 lb. 2-year-old easy, it also works for our infant. It really helps to redistribute the weight to make it much more comfortable to carry the big kids.

It's very easy to pick up the child and plop them on the seat. We used this carrier all day at the zoo, and even with the toddler, who at times was cranky and flailing, I was easily able to keep control. Made my day much more enjoyable.
