I've had a SanDisc mp3 player for about 10 years which I'm very happy with. But I wanted an mp3 player with bluetooth so I bought this Safuciv. The album art work isn't displayed as clearly or prominently as on the SanDisc when in bluetooth mode and some of the album artwork isn't there altogether. Also, if you want to look at anything beyond the current song playing, the music stops.

When you power down, it won't remember where you left off. But if you go to the music folder and scroll down to the current song playing, the song will be highlighted when you turn it back on and go back to that folder.

The sound quality seems to me to be just as good as my SanDisc player's, but I never touch the equalizer on either player and am not as discerning as other people might be.

It has bluetooth, a voice recorder, is easy to use, and was cheaper. It's good value for the money.

Product was great until recently when the headphone jack malfunctioned and I only get 1 channel. I really liked this device; strong battery, easy-enough interface. Sound was as good as any I've owned. But now just one channel. And yes, I have tried it with other headphones.

I hope their customer service sees this. I'd like to give it more stars.

Less than a week after this review, my player is no longer usable. I've reset it 50 times and it fixes nothing. It just turns off sometimes, can no longer communicate with the computer...so no more updating, and fails to recognize the music files. They boasted of their warranty and customer service in their box literature. Let's see if they honor their warranty.

Smaller than it appears in the photo, which is a good thing. Easy to use. The only complaint I had is that my wireless earbuds were very quiet even at full volume on the player. My daughter's work okay though, so I think that's more of an issue with my earbuds not being completely compatible with this device. Until I buy a newer pair, I'm using wired earbuds. It has really good sound.

I love this little player! So tiny it fits on my palm! It has dedicated recording option which helps me to record my instant research ideas, logging data etc. it comes with 32gb micro-sd card so you don’t have to buy separately. Although in this era of streaming music apps like Spotify, pandora etc. are dominating, it’s hard to picture this as regular device. But as a classic, it’ll cheer up your mood by bringing nostalgia.

This player is OK but has some serious quirks. The volume adjustments takes (in rapid succession) three presses to initiate volume changes. They state it's a feature, I think it's an issue. The battery lasts a long time per charge, but it is also lithium-ion and not lithium-polymer. This means that in three years the battery will bulge and the unit will need to be trashed since it is not user replaceable.

As for the other functions, I only cared about the recording features. This unit can record voice, FM radio, and Line-input via provided cable. Figuring out how to record is not intuitive. You're better off contacting support instead of trying to figure it out. The unit can record in WAV and MP3 format. Bit-rate can be adjusted for both. However, frequency can not be changed.

Here are your (ONLY) options

8khz at 32kbps
16khz at 64kbps
32khz at 128kbps
32khz at 192kbps

MS WAV
16khz at 512kbps
24khz at 768kbps
32khz at 1024kbps
48khz at 1536kbps

The unit won't do 44khz on MP3 or WAV Why?... I'm not sure. When the unit is recording, there is no record meters to monitor peak levels. Here are some of the quirks when recording. There is no auto volume when recording. The MIC recordings are fixed at maximum and sound OK. The FM radio recording "IS" adjustable "AND" is combined by the listening volume. This means that in order to get a louder recording level, you must also bear the loud volume in your headphones. The Line-in recordings has an issue as well. The left channel is always being recorded louder than the right channel. It is very noticeable on playback. There is no way to fix this.

So there you have it. I paid about $23.00 for the unit. If I had paid more for the unit, It would've been returned. If they could fix the recording issues and quirks that this unit has, I would definitely recommend it for the price.
