Good Movie Adaptation for Younger Readers
4 Stars
Good Movie Adaptation for Younger Readers
This book follows the movie fairly closely, with a few minor changes. The more adult situations have been cleaned up or omitted, since this is a book aimed for ages 12 and up, grades 7-9. The reading level is about a 5th-6th grade level, so reading-wise I think it's a bit too elementary for grades 7-9. Perhaps Grades 5-7 might be more appropriate, though there are somewhat mature situations, which could be the reason the book is rated for grades 7-9. I bought this book for my young son, who is 12. He enjoyed the movie very much, so he's looking forward to reading the book. What's nice is there's 8 pages of color photos from the movie. If you're a fan of the movie, you'll enjoy this book, though again, it's aimed for younger readers.
