I played these games all through my childhood and I'm so glad I could download them here. It was truly a great experience to relive my childhood. My mom, sister, and I would crowd around the bulky computer monitor and help each other out and get spooked by the menu music!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE EVERY TIME!!

I've used to have a physical copy of the game many years ago but has been either sold or vanished without a trace of it. Thankfully with it just being able to download it digitally, I was able to finish the game after a really long time of not being able to.

I grew up playing Nancy Drew games and this is one of my all time faves. After replaying for the first time in years, they are still such great games. As a warning, these games are old and so early 2000s. This means that yes the graphics aren't great but for me that's part of their charm. They may not look as nice as the games of today but the mystery and puzzles are still solid and that's what matters. Also, these games DO work on Windows 10 even though it doesn't say in the description.

I love nancy drew games and thought I'd try some older ones. This is perhaps my least favorite game of all. This review is based solely on my singular opinion and my playing preference. I am also writing this review for someone who has played a few ND games already and is familiar with their general procedure. The puzzles are simple and few. What really bothered me about this play is the lack of fluidity and direction. I had to look up over half the game in a walkthrough because I either wasn't sure what I needed to do next or how I should go about doing something that would work. Meaning I've have an idea how to do something, but my plan failed because a landmark was not met within the game so I could not progress further, even though you yourself can bypass doing something that is seemingly unnecessary, but yet the game is programmed so that it is mandatory. That may sound confusing and I apologize for the vagueness but I don't want to list anything specific since I don't want to spoil any part of the game. The hints in this game are pretty useless. They tell you what the next obvious plan of action is, but lack giving the detail on how to go about doing it which is why I looked into the hints in the first place.

This is not to say others will struggle to the same degree that I did, but I've played other Nancy Drew games without looking through a single walkthrough before. In my opinion a great ND game that has a strong game lead and direction is Ransom of the Seven Ships.

The story plot was very clever. I loved the integration of Marie Antoinette as a historical figure within this game. This game accomplishes to redeem Marie from her infamous stigma she commonly holds and brings to light a new perspective as if she was a victim of luxury and privilege in an ever declining circumstance; the French Revolution. I'm not sure whether this game fabricates the details of history for the sake of the story plot; I have not yet had a chance to research it for myself. But regardless it is interesting and fun. Besides the story plot of the game, all the book reading is factual which is consistent through all ND games. That is one of the reasons I love these games.

The character development was decent and the length of the game was appropriate. It was a nuisance at times because this particular game requires a lot of alarm clock usage and traveling around this building was tedious.

I still enjoyed this game regardless but because of the lack of leads throughout the game I give this particular game a 3 star rating. Then again you just will never know until you play it for yourself. It's subjective to the bias of the player.

This was the very first Nancy Drew game I played! My friend and I would take turns being Nancy and this brings back so many memories of being freaked out at the banging noises and afraid to click the mouse to go on, being so frustrated every time we heard "it's locked", and the many inside jokes we still share as a result of our commentary the whole game. Anyways, we are both married with kiddos now and I stumbled upon this and couldnt believe it! I will always be a Nancy Drew game fan and love the new games too! Thanks for putting great stuff out there!

The game worked great and it was just as fun as I remember them being as a kid. However, on the senior detective level I had to use the walkthrough hints because some puzzles, I'd have never figured out on my own.

I like the mental challenge of the game. Its pictures and dialogue are clear and easy to understand. I have played it more than once. I have about 15 Nancy Drew games saved in my Amazon video game library. I am please with all the games. They are very challenging for an old person like me. Thank you.
