Batteries corroded.
Before removing the doll from her box, there is a window to the button that is pushed to make her talk. Nothing happened. She is a gift for an unknown child that I sponsored so I didn’t want to open the box, but I had to remove her to check the batteries. They are corroded. So I will clean up the batterie space and buy new ones and see if that works. They could have easily checked before sending it to me. Sending a Talking Barbie that doesn’t talk is bad business.

The one thing my granddaughter asked for from Santa was a talking Barbie. This Barbie doesn’t talk despite putting new batteries in the doll. A huge disappointment to say the least!!! How do you explain to a child that Santa gave them a defective doll?!!

The item did not work. I even replaced the batteries to the tune of $15. and it still didn't talk. I do have to say I was credited immediately for the purchase and did not have to pay to send it back but it was a disappointing purchase to say the least. I didn't realize it was a product that had been created about 16 years ago and was more of a collectors piece than a doll to play with.
