Great solution
I have a 2001 truck and some years back had an auxiliary gadget installed so I could play my iPhone through the speakers and charge it. Then the lightning cable came along instead of 3.5mm so I got a little Bluetooth receiver to put in the 3.5mm jack. But, the Bluetooth receiver would need charging sometimes at the same time my iPhone needed charging which meant I couldn’t listen to anything on my iPhone then. I wondered if maybe there’s an adapter I could get, but came across this cable which is a better idea. So far it’s working good. I hope it holds up, but since it seems no cable lasts forever I’m going to get a couple more for backup.

Tried the radio transmitter thing for my daughter’s 2010 mazda3 but the static was crazy. So tried this instead and it works great! Aux in to use the car speakers, then usb to the charging port that’s plugged in the 12v plug. Now she can listen to her music from her phone while charging in the car.

Update: The seller did reach out and rectified the issue. Great seller that stands by their product and policies.

This is an awesome gadget but it only worked well the first few times I used it, then it just ceased to be reliable. Sometimes it would work after I wiggled it a bit but eventually nothing at all.
