Product Description

Bosch impact tough impact, driver bits have been upgraded to deliver 10x life over standard impact bits. With an extended torsion zone, precision engineering and heat-treated manufacturing process, these bits deliver tough torque and power for longer – and with less came out. These impact tough bits are an impact-rated line of screw driving bits, double-ended bits, nut setters, sockets and bit holders that have been enhanced to handle a new generation of higher torque impact drivers. These bits also come with high-visibility sleeves for greater user convenience.

Good but Lose the Retaining Ring
Seems to be a decent magnetic bit holder.As others have mentioned, there is a spring-loaded retaining ring inside, just below the lip. I can't identify any purpose for it other than to make removing bits as difficult as possible, as the whole purpose of the base magnet is to hold onto the bit. Unless perhaps you have something like titanium bits that are non-magnetic.I used a small pick. Took a little bit of skill to pop it out. Believe me when I say you likely won't find it.

The magnet is good and strong. Holds even long screws securely while holding them straight out horizontally. I agree with some that the bits are held very tight, but that's a good thing to me. Too many times on my old magnetic bit holder the bits would stay in the screw and come out of the holder. Not with this one. Stay in tight. Do have to use pliers to remove the bit sometimes depending on the bit. My regular bits don't need pliers to remove though. I'd rather have the bits held too tight than loose. At first, I cursed that my old holder got bent and I had to buy a new one. But now I see it as a blessing in disguise because now I have this new one with an even better magnet and holds bits better.

I bought both the Bosch and the Makita bit holders because I was looking for one that would secure the bit so it would pull out unless it was intentional. With the magnetic bit holders the but would often slip out and stay in the screw head, which is annoying. This one solves the retention problem but its a tradeoff as it is not magnetic so it doesn't hold onto the screw either. I like these better than the Makita however I was able to find an extremely similar product on Amazon for about a third of the price of the Bosch.

I've only had it a few weeks but it does what it's supposed to. I was using a cheap Dewalt one that came with a set of bits. It started getting ground out and the bits were getting jammed half-rotated inside. This one seems very solid and I've had no issues.

For anyone who has trouble taking the bits out, it's designed to lock the bit in place. You pull the casing away from the drill to release the bits. I grab it and the bit and pull forward in one motion and it releases easy enough.
