It seems a lot of people buy Nvidia Jetson products having no idea what they actually are. This is not for playing video games, mining coin, nor is it like an Arduino that's easy for kids to use. This is a powerhouse of a parallel processor for AI and computational throughput, at "low power" for a supercomputer. Don't buy this unless you are an advanced AI or Cuda or robotics developer, and don't complain if you do. This is NOT as powerful as the latest gaming or data center Nvidia GPUs, but those are kiloWatt end solutions. This is a 50-90W end solution (or even less if you don't use it all (there is actually a 15W power mode).
This beast is a development kit for the much smaller module you can actually build an end system out of. It is amazing, breaking out many USB ports, 10GigE networking, displayport, it even has a hidden PCIx connector, with a flexible power supply input and excellent quiet cooling system. You get 2000 CUDA cores (what I'm using for parallel processing) and a boatload of AI processors too (I'm not using this yet), AND a super powerful 12-core ARM Linux computer that's very powerful itself. AANNDD....it has 64GB blazing fast memory that's shared with between the CPU and GPU. You cannot get this much memory (currently) with a gaming GPU card, and if you build your kiloWatt GPU/CPU huge gaming box and pack it with memory, it will have much higher latency because it's not shared as tightly.
If you have a need for what this offers, it is unprecedented in power, and is as elegantly designed, packaged, and put together as an Apple product.
