crisp and smooth display and quality it is 165/180, it has adaptive sync and 1ms delay, it has custom crosshair. This monitor is amazing, it was very easy to mount and I didnt even read the manual, didnt even need to read it, no screws no nothing. The size is good its small, I dont want a big monitor so I love the size, color is all black. Amazing for gaming and even streaming content and even work, but this is best for gaming. it is really stable, good stability.

a budget price. Pretty proud of myself for choosing this one. If you want to pay $300 for a name brand, that's up to you but if you want the same quality for $79, that's your decision. UPDATE__UPDATE Save your money and buy something good. This monitor shuts itself off among other quirky things. It only took a couple of days before I realized I didn't know what I was doing I put it in the basement in case I NEED AN EMERGENCY MONITOR.

Good for the low price but some annoying parts

I got this screen as a second to my new work laptop (macbook pro 2022). The laptop only has usb-c ports and was struggling with my 7 year old monitor and all the converter cables I had. Two set ups I tried:

- with the original VGA cable, which I had been using with the old monitor, it worked technically, but the image had striations waving through. Also annoying that the angle of the ports are all pointed down instead of out, and even though they are labeled, you still have to bend awkwardly to see under the edge and get the cables right in there. This was especially annoying with the VGA cable because of the prongs...it's basically impossible to screw the prongs of a VGA cable with your fingers. I used a penny, because I am a regular person without whatever specialized tool you're supposed to use the screw VGA prongs. Not that big a deal, but annoying

- I tried the usb-c to usb-c cable that came with the monitor, and it works much better. Clear picture, fair resolution all things considered, and doesn't randomly disconnect like my old set up.

So my point is, if you want to use older hardware, it probably won't play nice. Technically it has a VGA port but it's annoying to use because of placement. Using the newer cable that came with it was fine though. Compared to other monitors, the price was low, so for that, it works well enough.

Last annoyance is it didn't come with the screws the instructions claim are included. This secures the base to the screen. Breakage from improperly following instructions voids the warranty (this is specified in the papers that came with the product). I've contacted the seller, so here's hoping they come through.

Edit: they got back to me and said the screws aren't actually necessary and there is a 1 year warranty in place if any issues arise. So far, the monitor has been working great, definitely better than my old one, or at least it interfaces well with a 2022 macbook pro.

The monitor is great, screen quality is good too, and the response time is as listed. the only reason im giving it a 4/5 review is because i for some can not change the graphic settings, only the mode, and when i put the volume up no sound comes out of the monitor. I dont know if i just have the wrong settings but those are the only two problems ive had with this monitor. Ive had it for almost a month now.

UPDATE: This is an update to the below review. After returning the monitor due to electronic related problems the monitor company reached out to me directly to apologize for the inconvenience and began making it right. I told them that I had already purchased another monitor due to the fact it was important I had one that was working. That didn't matter to them as they wanted to still send me a brand new one at no cost. Not only was I refunded my money for the inconvenience but I was given one for free. And it works perfectly fine unlike the last one. So in the end, if you get a lemon just let them know and the company will do the right thing. Based on this service I am working with them to buy new monitor for all my workers in the office because I know that if someone is wrong at least someone will care to make it right. And that is beyond the value of the monitor. Thanks for the great experience!

I was actually using with as an extra work monitor so didn’t want to spend much just needed another screen with hdmi. Well this monitor won’t even stay on just randomly turns off. Which resets the display and screws up the setup then just randomly comes back again. It’s happened multiple times thankfully within 30 days. But I saw someone else with comments similar before and said “it won’t happen to me”. Just get a Spectre I have 2 they are $10-$20 for the cheapest at most and haven’t had an issue.

My old monitor was dying after 13 years of strenuous usage, and I got this Sansui as a short-notice replacement even though I knew nothing about the manufacturer. So far the monitor is proving to be a good choice. I have to give this monitor five stars because the display is excellent and for once a plug and play device actually is plug and play. For me that counts.

I especially like that there are both VGA and HDMI connection plugs. That makes this a monitor well-designed for the conversion worldwide of computer monitors from VGA (the connection standard of the past) to HDMI (the connection standard of the future). Knowing how the computer hardware business has been over the years they won't be making these transition monitors for long, so anyone needing a monitor to bridge this VGA to HDMI conversion needs to seriously consider this monitor sooner rather than later, especially since the price is right. That said I just got this monitor in the past month so I don't know what its lifespan might be. FWIW a good monitor should last several years. This monitor will be best for ordinary usage such as websurfing, email, and modest image/video work. While gamers need to look elsewhere, YouTubers will be OK with this one.

This manufacturer also sell fancier models with speakers (for a higher price of course). But my computer is already well looked after with its existing audio deployment, so I saved a bit by getting the non-audio monitor. If you already have good computer sound capability save a few $$ and get the soundless monitor.

It happens I'm quite particular about how a monitor displays anything, so I had to fiddle about for many hours with the Windows display properties and the NVIDIA control panel to get the visual presentation I wanted, but in the end the results were satisfactory. Anyone as fussy as I am better be prepared to spend a bit of time messing with all their computer's display adjustments. I skipped the factory adjustments in the manual, which doesn't explain them clearly in any event.

Do remember that the bright crisp display of a new monitor does not have any impact on the age of the computer that runs the monitor. It's easy to be fooled by that one. If your ageing VGA computer is going to require an HDMI replacement, this monitor should be on your monitor shortlist as you transition from an old to a new machine.

I don't think there is a better monitor at this price. 1080p with 165Hz refresh rate is amazing for budget gamers. The IPS panel really brings out the colours. Only con would be the monitor control buttons, which are on the back side of that panel and adjusting settings using those is a bit tedious.
