Authentic salts but generic flower smell
Tabino Yado Japanese bath salt hot springs premium assortment 13 count. These come in a little pink box with cute art. Yes, they’re all in Japanese, but personally I liked trying something authentic from another country. It’s not like one of those gift boxes that feels especially curated/dumbed down for us Americans. Plus, nowadays, it’s super easy to translate anything moderately well with your phone.Using these is pretty self explanatory. Just pour one packet into hot bath water. Don’t sit in too long or wash your hair in it or expose to open wounds/sores. My skin is prone to eczema and these didn’t irritate it. They are surprisingly pigmented(as pictured) but did not stain my tub, thankfully. There’s green and yellow and the green is a very bright “Hulk smash green” lol. Not the most “relaxing” imo for adults and better for kids. The fragrance was very floraly and a bit sea salty.These were smaller packets than expected but are mellow/fine grained salts while being pretty heavily scented at the same time. They’re not my favorite, but it was really nice to try them. They weren’t the most relaxing/soothing on my muscles but they did the job and I see no reason to rate them poorly. 4/5 stars. Cool novelty salts, probably wouldn’t get again as it’s not the most bang for your buck.

While not worth reducing a star, it is noted that the box is thin cardboard with no glue, and very little overlap on the folds. For this reason, the box arrived in the condition pictured. However, no packets were damaged. If you want to gift these, you may have to take them out of the box and present them otherwise – assuring your recipient that there was no more English on the box than on the packets.
Nice, no scum ring afterwards! Feel good on my skin. Colorful but clear, as advertised.

These are nice. Since pretty much everything is in Japanese, I have no idea what is in them or what the differences are between the various packets, but the ones I have tried have been nice. The green tub pictured is from immediately after dumping in the packet with the red demon on the lower left. The green color is potent and clear, but the scent is faint. These are the company’s clear variety (vs. milky - the company sells a multiple types) and they were indeed clear. There was no sense of salt or oil, just powder. I like this because unlike other bath additives which have essential or other oils mixed in, there was no scum line formed on the tub, so there’s nothing to clean once it’s drained. That is a big plus for me. Also, I have to say the faint scent is relaxing and my skin seems quite happy afterwards. Assuming the Japanese doesn’t translate into “do not allow water to contact skin after pouring in the packet” then these seem to be a win to me.
