FAQs
What sizes do UnderJams come in?
UnderJams are available in sizes small/medium and large/extra large. Small/medium fits children 38–65 lb. (17–29 kg), and large/extra large fits children 58–85 lb. (26–39 kg).
Is there a difference between boys' UnderJams and girls' UnderJams?
Yes. While boys' and girls' UnderJams both feature superior absorbency to protect your child overnight, they also have additional absorbency where boys and girls need it most. The other difference is the graphic designs featured on the outside of each product.
What causes bedwetting?
Bedwetting is common in childhood development. It affects 5–7 million children ages 5–8. The causes of bedwetting vary from child to child, but the most common cause is normal bladder development. To better understand your child's bedwetting, talk with your child’s nurse or pediatrician.
How do UnderJams bedtime underwear absorb all that moisture?
Absorbent gelling material (AGM) is widely used in bedtime underwear padding to absorb wetness and lock it away. It is perfectly normal to see some gel on the skin from time to time, especially if the bedtime underwear is heavily saturated. It can easily be removed by wiping your child's skin. This material has a long history of safe use in a variety of products and has been in UnderJams for more than a decade.

Caution: Keep away from any source of flame. UnderJams, like almost any article of clothing, will burn if exposed to flame. To avoid risk of choking on plastic, padding, or other materials, do not allow your child to tear the pant, or handle any loose pieces of the pant. Discard any torn or unsealed pant, or any loose pieces of the pant. To avoid suffocation, keep all plastic bags away from babies and children. If you notice gel-like material on your child's skin, don't be alarmed. This comes from the pant padding and can be easily removed by wiping your child's skin with a soft dry cloth.

Luckily my kid's a little trooper. He always admitted when he wet the bed (the weird little thing kind of took pride in it). But it was happening almost every night and we could wash sheets that often. Our local store only carried diapers that go up to a size 4T. Thinking that was the only size there was we had him wearing those for a while- but they were itchy and uncomfortable and ripped during naptime. He liked them, but didn't like the uncomfort of them. Poor kid. Finally, after a lot of searching, I found these!
For people who are unfamiliar with UnderJams they are basically pull-ups for older kids. They are larger diapers that kids can wear to bed. There are a lot of things I like about these ones in particular (they're the first and only brand we've tried).
-They hold in the pee. And I mean, this kid can pee! We've never had them leak. He can now sleep on a normal sheet instead of a water-proof one and that makes me feel so much better. I felt so guilty having him sleep on a waterproof one while his siblings slept on normal ones.
-They're comfortable. He's never complained about them being itchy, tight, or uncomfortable. He will usually wear them with his underwear underneath. This works fine for us. They've never ripped or had an issues with movement while he's sleeping.
-They're quiet. They don't make crinkly noises which means he can wear them when his friends sleepover without feeling silly our out of place. They're also not super bulky so he can wear them under pajamas without other kids knowing.
-He likes them! And this is the most important thing. Every night he asks for his UnderJams before bed. They're not diapers or Pampers or Pull-Ups. They're 'cool' and for big kids just like him. The color is a light green with neat little prints. They're comfortable. They work. And he's not ashamed of them. Definitely a five star product in my book!
Leakage: so far two weeks of no leaking. Occasionally he used to leak with the Pull-ups when he had a really wet night, so I was concerned while reading the negative reviews, but the UnderJams are holding up fine and maybe even better because they fit him better.
Comfort: much better than Pull-ups. Even when he was younger and the those used to fit him alright, they still didn't "sit well" on him and the UnderJams have a much better, very comfortable fit. Also, for some reason the UnderJams don't feel as "full" and "heavy" in the mornings as the Pull-Ups did, I think the wetness is distributed more evenly. Which is nice.
Fit: this was the initial reason I switched. I bought the small/medium UnderJams and it is exactly the improvement I was looking for over the 4T-5T Pull-Ups. the sides are less narrow, stretchier and it goes on more easily. It still sits snugly on him for leakage protection. Other than being wider, the overall size is the same, and that's exactly what I was looking for.
Overall these UnderJams exceeded my expectations!
Now if I could only get my son trained overnight, that would be awesome!
I purchased these Under Jams after, yet another night of leakage. (It really interferes with my sleep.) In a very frustrated, sleep deprived stupor, I had decided that I had enough of my regular "go-to" brand and decided to try these. I have to say that I am ecstatic that I did. I received these 7 days ago and though there have been some nightly accidents, I haven't had to clean a urine soaked child or bedding even once.
These Bedtime Underwear fit my 39 pound five year old just right. They are really absorbent and keep him dry. Other than a child that doesn't wet at all, these things are wonderful. They really are a nightsaver.
