I wanted a scale for supplements. The supplement package said to use a MG scale but I figured it didn't need to be that accurate or I needed to spend that much for a small scale. This one is reasonable, boots fast, has a tare function, seems accurate and has a higher capacity of a 500G, vs some that only go to 300G. I skip the tare because it calibrates to zero when turned on, but if I forget its a nice function. The lid locks well enoughThe auto off function works in about a minute. It boots and you have about a minute before it turns off. I put a gram to 3 grams of 5 different things on by adding them together. As long as something changes, it stays on. If I don't add something within that time, I just turn it back on and it starts from zero as it calibrated again. Minor nuisance, not enough to change my rating and I'm sure it helps with battery life.For size reference, I have a 1/4 cup measuring cup on it in my picture.

Unless you’re using it for something that you need .0001 or need one that is very sturdy and protection because you might be working on a construction this is perfect. I recommended it highly And you cannot beat that price Period. The one thing that I was expecting and didn’t get was the weight that is supposed to Come with it and it did not. Yes it’s convenient because you do need that to calibrate the scale. I wanted to come with it, but there are other Objects that have designated weight that doesn’t change. most people might not have idea of how to weigh it With other things so that is when that weight Really help so you can Calibrated every time perfectly. I was disappointed just because they said and show it there, but it never came. That might be a reason why they sell it so cheap but it’s not good to advertise something and not honor it. As a consumer and this is just me, I’m not going to complain about it, but I just won’t be purchasing anything from you again but that’s me.

The good: It works well enough. I use it to weigh out epoxy--Put some paper on the tray, tare, squeeze out some of the Part A of the epoxy, tare again, then, Part B. The epoxy will cure much better than eyeballing how much you're squeezing out! And you need the extra digits of resolution that this scale gives you.

The not so good: Calibration menu? Can't find it. But for the price, I won't fuss.

I don't have a standardised weight to test against but what I have tried seems to indicate that this is as accurate as you can expect for a budget scale.
Most important is that it weighs the same thing to the same 1/100th of a farm of precision every time. Blowing on the scale alters the weight, as expected, so it shows weight changes quite fast.
I use this with an espresso grinder and machine and it really helps with the consistency of the results.
So far I would recommend this.
