The kettle is a nice thing to have, for my use I like to take as few items as possible to a camping trip.
The good news is that all items can be stacked and packed with a very small footprint.
Even I could pack everything back into its original size, it required me to e.g. put the fork/spoon/knife set into the kettle to make it all fit, basically memorizing its original state which I believe I will forget once I use the items on a regular basis. I also think that in a practical everyday camping situation I would need a little more room and would sacrifice the perfect mini packing size to pack faster -- I am thinking car camping and not using it as a backpacker scenario.
The handles of the pot, pan, and kettle are rubber-coated - those rubber pieces show a little bit of excess plastic material resulting from the molding process -- in this case they are visible but not sharp at all, it is just an indicator of the overall quality of manufacturing process.
As mentioned, this set is a budget-friendly set and cannot be compared to high-end camping cooking sets which might be 10 times more costly. My rating must also be seen as a rating within this budget-friendly segment and not the entire market.
The metal plates, cups, and the foldable metal fork/spoon/knife set are not my favorite stuff due to the fact it is metal.
The entire set can be packed into the included carrying bag -- overall this set is suitable for camping when I have a car to carry my stuff -- for backpacking - when every single item's weight matters - there are more lightweight options and mostly a backpacker will buy individual items and create their own optimized custom set over time. This entire set weighs on my scale 2lb 9.4oz (1174 grams).
The non-stick surface is declared as non-toxic coating but without a more specific description what type of coating it is. The packaging carries a California Proposition 65 sticker.
This set is well suited for those who need the all-included basic outdoor cooking set at a budget-friendly entry-level pricing point to start out, especially seeing that high-end outdoor cooking-ware can be very expensive.

First, some initial impressions of the set. There are a fair number of items and they all nest together fairly well. Some of the included stuff (sponge, towel, windscreen, carabiner, etc.) is okay but unnecessary for me since I already have similar but better quality items. For someone just starting out with camping gear, this may be a good way to get a lot of basic stuff in one package. Pan lids don’t actually snap in place and hold on the pans, but simply set on top, which makes it easy to drop them. The rubbery handles on the pans are comfortable, easy to grip, and don’t get hot, which is a plus. That said, metal cups are not optimal for drinking hot beverages, even with the included cheap, rubbery sleeves. These cups do not get uncomfortably hot, but plastic ones work better. The folding silverware is okay in theory but really serves no purpose. For car camping standard non-folding utensils work fine, and for backpacking a titanium or plastic spork would be lighter and less bulky.
Admittedly I’m not a serious backpacker, so I can only speculate below about how I see this set working for that. When I hike with my pack it is usually on a SAR mission, so my “cooking” then only involves heating water for freeze-dried meals or instant coffee. For that, my metal Stanley cup works fine. What I got this set for is recreational camping trips when cooking on a propane stove or over a campfire. As a car camping cookset, I find the pans and plates to be undersized and somewhat toy-like. While I really wanted to like the cookware, I find it less than compelling. I just can’t see the “frying pan” replacing a full size skillet for cooking bacon, nor eating a hearty meal off the saucer-sized “plates”. The kettle is the one fairly useful exception, allowing for easy heating and pouring of water, though it too is smaller than I would normally use.
Regarding backpackers, they would probably be very selective about which of these items to use, opting to leave most behind in order to save space and weight. The full set is bulky enough that it would almost have to be carried outside the pack unless one was traveling with very little other gear inside. While the ad shows the “easy to carry” storage bag dangling from a pack by its cord, I cannot imagine anyone carrying this in that manner, swinging freely and banging against their leg. It would be far better to secure the storage bag snugly to the pack in order to minimize its movement. In that manner it might be worthwhile to carry more of the set, though weight would still be a concern.
So, to summarize, it is an inexpensive cookware set that has some decent features, several unnecessary items, and some serious flaws. The full set doesn’t really seem to be a good fit for either car camping or for backpacking, though some individual items have their uses. Perhaps the best use-case for this would be for short day hikes that include preparing a small meal in the field.
