Even tho' the picture for this device PERFECTLY matches my TiVo remote, the item I received is evidently for a DirectTV based TiVo device. The DirectTV logo at the bottom of the remote gives away the fact that I've been bait-n-switched. The device I received does NOT work with my older TiVo box and no instructions to "convert" it to work with my TiVo box. I'm giving this item the lowest possible rating I can b/c there is NOTHING in the write up for the device that says it's only for DirectTV TiVo device. Gonna have to return it

Looked just like the one I was replacing but it apparently was a special version for a Direct TV unit or something and it would not work on my TiVo at all. I’d already gotten rid of the shipping package though by the time I tried it so I just wound up throwing it out. Total waste. Certify compatibility if you can before purchasing one.
