It's a fig leaf! Seriously. This isn't really a fig tree. It's a teenie twig with one leaf on it. In it's defense, my twig did arrive reasonably well packaged and it did have one *healthy* leaf. And it has survived fine and grown a few more.

The little twig was delivered the 7th of September instead of the 9th, two of the hottest days of the week before without any advice so I wasn't expecting it to arrive in my mailbox that day. When I opened it, the leaves were all dry and it didn't have something to keep it moist, it was all plastic packaging 😒 I was sorry for it. Eventually all the leaves came off even after watering and taking good care of it. I love figs, we had figs trees where I lived when I was a little girl.
So now I am doing my best to make this little fig tree survive!
