    This camera takes still shots, records, includes 2 batteries, and made easy to record for podcasts, family photos, ect with the remote. The batteries I am most impressed by. After 2 weeks of not using the camera the battery was still fully charged so there was no need to switch out or recharge. I am pretty pleased.

    Purchased to film my son's youth football games from the sidelines/stands. I wouldn't recommend this camcorder if you're looking to record any type of sports games where you're not close to your subjects.

    Here are my gripes with this specific product:

    I cannot figure out how to do a continuous recording, and/or continuous playback. Since I'm recording a football game, I start and stop after each play. During playback, video 001 is the LAST play of the game that was recorded. I have to navigate to the very last video file (example: 0067 of 0067) to watch the very FIRST play recorded of that game. And it only plays the few seconds that was recorded. So you watch a clip, then press the left arrow to watch the next play. IS THERE A WAY TO continuously play the files? I also haven't figured out how to merge the files to put them all on to YouTube. This *could* be user error, bit I don't think it should be this hard to figure out...

    The max zoom is 16x's which is explained in the description, BUT I mention it because during playback, some clips show zoomed in more than others, even though they were all filmed with the same zoom (x16). That difference in playback doesn't make sense to me. Also, when zoomed in to the max, it's grainy. The graininess is worse when the playback is on the clips that are "zoomed in more than others."

    During playback, the video sometimes "freezes," even though the surrounding sounds continue, then the video picks up again after a second or two. You miss whatever happened during the "freeze," which can be critical for filming football games. Especially when each play is usually around 16 seconds...

    The camcorder charging port (and HDMI port for that matter) is located behind the camcorder viewing screen. So the viewing screen has to be open to plug the cord(s) in. This can be a positive or a gripe.

    My first box came with one battery pack labeled "High Power" and one battery pack with no label. The " High Power" battery lasted for 1 half of the football game (about an hour) in Arizona heat (100°+) before dying. The unlabeled battery lasted less than a quarter of play (about 30 minutes), luckily I charged the "High Power" battery during halftime, so I could record the full game. Halftime is about 15 minutes, and it gave the "High Power" juice for about 10 minutes of additional recording. After that experience, I came back to the product description page to see where I could find another "High Power" battery to purchase separately, when I noticed the original product picture and description states it was supposed to come with 2 " High Power" batteries. I contacted Amazon and Amazon sent me out another "High Power" battery, as well as an external battery charging pad (that charging pad was also NOT in my original box).

    Positive: I've used this camcorder at 4 games now, and I finally learned that it's BEST to have the camcorder charging cord plugged into the camcorder and into an external battery power pack the ENTIRE time you're using it. I never had to swap out batteries when I did that and the camcorder stayed fully charged through the entire game.

    Since my box was missing items, Im listing what should come in the box:
    - Camcorder,
    - slim camcorder case (will only fit the camcorder),
    - TWO " HIGH POWER" Batteries
    - an External Battery Charging Pad,
    - a Charging Cord (works to charge the camcorder, or the charging pad),
    - a Hood accessory to block sun(? I haven't used this, as I sit under an umbrella or canopy while recording),
    - an external Microphone (I've not used the Mic since it will not work for recording far away plays),
    - an Aux cord to connect the Microphone to the camcorder,
    - a handheld Stability Grip (I've not used, as I use a tripod I already had),
    - a Remote (I use this remote when watching the video files when the camcoder is connexted to my TV via a HDMI cable),
    - an HDMI cable*,
    - a User's Manual for the camcorder (does not explain how to do continuous record/continuous playback)
    - a User's Manual for the External Microphone

    *Note about the included HDMI cable: it will NOT work if you have a 4k TV. You will need to purchase a different HDMI cable that is compatible with your TV. Make sure you get the correct one that will fit the smaller HDMI port in the camcorder!

    Great Camcorder! I bought this to make cute little home videos and record my sister’s wedding. The quality is excellent. Everything works great. I love the added microphone and shudder hood. It’s got good image stabilization too. It has a pretty deep zoom feature which is nice it’s. It’s also super easy to set up. Just needs a bag for the attachments. The picture and sound quality is much better than i expected. The camcorder works great all around. Highly recommend it! Don’t forget to buy a large SD card for the device storage.

    EDIT/UPDATE!! THIS IS A JUNK DEVICE!!!!! CANNOT ACCESS THE APP TO SET THE WIFI AND OTHER SETTINGS!!! The battery life is 2-3 hours at the most, energy hog, all that juice for not. Will not integrate with sound cards, I can't even get it to send the image directly to a monitor. I so got burned on this junk.

    Especially for 150$, this is the best money I've ever spent on a camera. I remember the old VHS cameras that weighed about as much as a small car it seemed; that compared to this is not even in the same realm, this is a small fraction of the weight and about 1000X the capacities.
    Brand name isn't everything, by any means, I've never heard of Femivo until now with this one. I blew about 120$ on a Canon Elf last time, and it wasn't even close to what this is; nor did it last very long, not even 2 yrs. This unit and the rest of my components and I'm getting close to having a small DIY home-studio.
    The one and only thing I'm having a little bit of questioning for is how hot this thing seemed like it was getting; I hadn't even made it through all the initial menu familiarization and setup, and it was feeling pretty warm. I hardly doubt it will be a concern - this is a product that I decided on (in part) by the reviews left; if it's an issue, I'm sure it would have been mentioned - it isn't unusual for some technology to run on the warm side. We'll see.
    UPDATE - many of the functions are only operable via the remote control; at first, I thought that was going to be a pain but it's actually a neat and easily usable feature. It doesn't come with an SD card, so I had to wait for the right one to come in before fully getting through it - SURPRISE - didn't know there were high speed ones now, but that's what this takes - order it when ya get the camera.
