I purchased this duffle as extra baggage (too much shopping) because it met regulation size and when full of clothing was not overweight. It traveled well and has well stitched seams. The canvas is heavy duty. It's a duffle so not easy to carry but it has a great heavy zipper and two handles for lifting.
I would recommend this to anyone needing an extra bag at a low price that you can use over and over again.

I use this bag for my riot response gear for my job as a correctional officer it fits an extra uniform boots body armor gasmask helmet and baton with room to spare. For the price I've yet to find a better bag the zippers are robust and the bag is thick canvas. Great option

One Tough Bag

This review is based on an old Rothco duffle I have, which is the reason I bought another! These bags are made of heavy material and over the course of several years of jamming the first one with all kinds of stuff, throwing it into car trunks, onto concrete, wooden, and asphalt floors that first bag has suffered zero rips, tears, failed seams, nor have any of the handles or d-rings failed in any way. The dual zippers have also held up and still work smoothly too. I guess the best recommendation I can give is that I bought a second one. So why did I only give it 4-stars in value? Because it does not come with a shoulder strap; had to buy one separately. If Rothco would include a shoulder strap this duffle would be perfect!

New favorite travel bag for the family.

Took this bag to a recent weekend getaway and was able to pack Everyone's stuff, with room to spare. That's a lot of stuff for a family of five! Parents know how bulky it can get to pack for three young children, and this bag addressed that problem. The reinforced handles does not disappoint either. To those who commented about the strong (fabric dye) smell, here's what I suggest you do (worked for me!) - put three scented fabric softeners inside the bag, and run a short cycle in the dryer. Your bag will not shrink, mine kept it's size and shape, and was all around perfect for what I need it for. Excellent buy! -AT.

I bought this bag to store a canvas wall tent which is 17x34 rolled up. The tent will not fit in this bag. Diameter is only 13 (not 21) and length barely reaches 36 if you stretch it. Not sure if they measured this using the metric system? Hastily returning this.
