If you are looking for a basic radio with controls that are easily visible and perfectly easy to use this is a very good one.
SOUND QUALITY is crisp and clear but light on the bass. Not tinny, just not full-scale bass. This may actually be what some may prefer. It's fine for me.
RECEPTION is good. Local stations come in clearly and without static. FM stations don't fade in and out; AM station reception is OK but I can not pull in WOR New York from Eastern PA north of Philadelphia. A total of 12 AM stations in my location come in clearly and without interference. Others come in with some hiss or hum.
TONE CONTROL has 2 settings controlled by a switch -- one that lets the full sound through, and the other which takes out sharpness and allows only softer sound through. Silly. But this doesn't really do any harm.
BUTTONS are all big and easy to use. No confusing or difficult-to-see digital anything. Yay.
DIAL is very easy to see and if you listen to only to one favorite radio station it will stay in place. A big plus.
SIZE of the radio is about 9 inches wide by 2 inches thick.
WEIGHT is pretty light. Would be easy to knock off of a table or to be pulled around by the cord. Best to place the radio in a location where it won't be knocked over.
The radio has a tiny red light on the top front that illuminates when it's on and goes off when it's off. That's good to see if you turn it down and forget to turn it off.
The best things about this radio:
1. You can turn it on with one click and it will play your favorite radio station. With one click. Period. No programming, no having to look at a screen of digital numerals you can't read.
2. You can change bands from FM to AM with one click and set a station with one turn of the dial.
3. There is nothing to program, nothing to charge, nothing to set, nothing that cannot be understood, no buttons on it you do not understand the function of.
If you would like to just be able to turn on a radio which is already set to a station you like, have that station pop on clearly and adjust the volume with a turn of a wheel, this is the right radio for you. It works, and has no confusing digital programming functions whatsoever. It does what it is supposed to do and that is VERY hard to find nowadays. Very pleased with it; only, considering the price of the radio, the amount of sound range and having a real tone control are worth mentioning as possible minuses but they are not big ones and the ease of use and conveniences of this radio IMO outweighs those considerations. I have not seen any radio currently available that is easier to use and read. I am happy to have it.

This radio is working very well for me. I recommend it.
Overall I'm happy with this radio. I use it in the garage, and don't expect some high fidelity experience, but was looking for a good solid old-school radio that sounded good and a radio that would come back on after a power outage without any station reprogramming by me. I recommend it.The Good: it pulls in and tunes in FM stations easily and solidly with no drift. I don't use it for AM, as my city has no good AM stations, but it seems to pull in stations well. The radio sounds good, I use the brighter tone selection for rock music and it sounds very good to me. Attractive appearance. Plenty loud. Tone control works well. The build quality appears to be good. I haven't tried the batteries, don't know how long they last.The Bad: I had to return the first radio they sent as the tuner would not move to tune in stations. The 2nd radio works just fine. *The box Amazon shipped in is the thin box designed for retail display and not a sturdy/padded shipping box, so the radio can get damaged easily in shipping. The box my 2 radios were shipped in were both damaged, but the radios were not damaged, which was just luck. The volume control is touchy, moving it a small amount makes the radio much louder. The AC adaptor connector to the radio on the left side sticks out about 2"- which is a lot- (see photo) it should be on the back of the radio or have a more compact design. I didn't see the 'tuning light' that confirms you have tuned into your station that they talk about.
