This wireless adapter does work with my Windows 11 Pro desktop and an Xbox Series X gamepad. In my case, I had to run Windows update for this wireless adapter to work, but after that it has been working well.The adapter has an aluminum shell and a tiny LED that stays solid when paired with a gamepad. I’ve had no connection dropouts with this wireless adapter, and is definitely more reliable than using Bluetooth on my desktop.I personally unplug this adapter from my computer when not using it with a gamepad, but it is concerning that it gets hot when in use. Even when no gamepad is paired with the adapter, it still gets warm to the touch.I would recommend this wireless adapter, because it is more stable than Bluetooth and is available.

ok, bought this in an urgent moment when my official "xbox wireless adapter for windows 10" died of thermal damage causing my entire 4a USB powered hub to shut off from overcurrent
the official one always ran hot(like if i directly touched the USB port after a few hours of just being plugged in I could suffer mild burns if sustained contact) but this one is barely detectably warm after days of being left plugged in
seems to be exactly as described, a third party recreation using the same chips the official one uses
edit: supplemental data: I also did measure the official dongle and for some reason it ALWAYS pulled 500ma(the maximum power from a usb2.0 data port) and the new one settles around 200ma,
this proves the official one was faulty since this brand claims all original chips
