I got this to mount a new 24" flat panel monitor just above the kitchen counter. It's a large monitor for a kitchen, but the articulating arm allows the whole thing to swing out of the way and under the upper wall cabinets when not needed. (This was the longest articulating arm I could find under $50.) From the front, the monitor appears to float about 2-3 inches above the counter. Installation was fairly simple, even though the instructions were not exactly clearly written.
The monitor itself is pretty light, and this mount is so well built that it feels like it could have easily handled something three or four times as heavy. In addition, the motion at the shoulder and elbow joints is very smooth. The tilt adjustment is at the wrist joint and it locks into place with a locking nut. I was hoping to be able to leave that nut loose so the tilt could be adjusted on the fly, but that didn't work so well. So instead it's set at about a 5- or 10-degree upward tilt. There's only one clip for cable management so I used a couple of black zip-ties to secure the video cable along the length of the arm. I'm certainly not complaining, given the relatively low cost of this product, but just offering some suggestions for further enhancement.
All-in-all, this is a very good mount. I was a little skittish about buying it, having no experience with the VideoSecu brand, but the other reviews were fairly positive so I gave it a try. And I'm glad I did.

It's ok, serves it's purpose.
First of all, loosen the joints with a Phillip's and the included alan wrench. You're also going to want a socket wrench because the dinky tool they included takes no less than an hour to screw these bolts into wood. The paint makes it difficult to move the mount and you're going to wonder if this was such a good idea. This is the least fluid tv mount I've ever installed. The tilt isn't graceful whatsoever - even after loosening the bolt, it sometimes takes a lot of force to change the angle of the TV. The instructions are kind of sketch and we (my cat and I) cant figure what this leftover piece is for. It looks like some kind of torque twisty thing with threads inside.
