I was introduced to pre-mixed Old Fashioned syrup when my sister gave me a bottle of the excellent Maple Bacon for my BDay. It is the best I have had, but it has continued to go up in price to the point that it is now almost four times the cost of several pretty solid competitors. I love it, but it's hard to justify the very high price and the difficulty to obtain it locally, unlike several other much more reasonably priced options.

I travel a lot and have had Old Fashioned cocktails everywhere. Most are “acceptable” and very few were exceptional. I’ve been trying different syrups to make my own cocktails at home with little success. Nothing I tried came close to making a good drink. Until now.

Proof Syrup Old Fashioned Traditional is as good or better than the best drink I’ve had anywhere at any price. My only problem now is resisting the temptation to drink too many!
