I tried this product and following the instructions, it did work well in emptying the old ink. However, just using the syringe and tube along with some rubbing alcohol/water mixture probably would have worked just as well or better. Product wise, I would say this product is over priced and not worth the cost.

Even after following the instructions and doing a deeper clean, my print head didn't respond and I ended up having to purchase a new print head anyways.

I got this because I had an inkjet printer that I wanted to see if I could get it working again.

The kit came with everything described, however the tray for soaking the print head in is glass and it came pretty badly broken. I was going to send the kit back but while out running errands I happened to stop into a thrift store and found a glass dish that worked.

This kit definitely cleared all the old ink out of my print head. I know this because the fluid ran clear after about 15 mls going through (maybe more). So did what it was meant to do.

Unfortunately the print head still gave me errors so I think it's just dead. I may try to replace it or I may just get rid of the printer. We'll see.

I got the dreaded “print head problem” message on my HP printer so I thought it would be worth trying this kit to see if a good cleaning would help. I watched a video showing how to take apart the printer, but I wasn’t comfortable doing that yet, so I just cleaned the print head in place using the kit. In my case, the message on the printer persisted after a good cleaning, so I think I might try taking it apart when I have time. Luckily, you get enough in this kit to do a second cleaning, which is quite helpful. I’m giving it 5 stars because you get everything you need, and the quality is very good. I don’t hold it against the kit for not fixing the issue with the first try.

Before doing anything else, let your printer run through its self-cleaning processes several times. Only if that doesn't work, look for a kit for your printer.

I've had mixed results trying to clean inkjet printer heads and generally, it's not the kit's fault. It's just not always an easy or successful process.

Be sure you know how to do what the kit requires in terms of disassembly. Look for some YouTube videos for your specific printer model or one similar to it.

To avoid getting diluted ink on things, I always take the parts I'm cleaning outside. Wear old clothes just in case something squirts on you or splashes.

The advantage of these kits is that they contain things like a syringe and various adapters that let you connect the syringe to various ink ports. For my particular printer model, this one contained several nice cleaning accessories.

This kit contains everything you need to clear a clogged printhead. It will ultimately save you hundreds of dollars on repairs or a new printer. It's a good value for the price. There are instructions included in the box and they were really easy to follow. I found additional help on line that gave me a visual of what I was doing. This was my only attempt at working on a printer and I am really happy with the results. Research your printer to make sure this kit will work for you and that you are comfortable attempting the job. One piece of advise, do put on the provided gloves before you get started as there may be ink all over the printheads.
