Cant put lemons or salt in your water it left a permanent mark in the bottle and now it looks dirty this bottle was far to expensive for this. I was it every day with a long bottle brush. Very disappointed. the only great thing is the lid does lock down and it doesn't spill or leak.

This recent purchase is my second of this SIGG water bottle. I purchased a second one because I like the first one so much and I've had it for over a year and it is still holding steady with daily use.
The cap is my favorite part, it clicks shut and there is an easy lock/unlock mechanism that is particularly useful for me. I am able to throw this bottle in my gym bag, on to my car seat, or backpack and there is no worries about leakage.
There is also something about the handle on top of the cap that makes it super easy to carry around especially when your hands are full and you only have a pinky finger to grab your water bottle!
I wash these both by hand and in the dishwasher and they hold up fine.

The 2nd time I opened the bottle with sparkling water in it, the lid flew open with a loud blast and smashed my finger. I was not injured but was scared. My kids immediately started crying.
Either there is some special way this should be used, or it's not suitable for carbonated beverages.

I gave the bottle 4 stars, because otherwise it's a great water bottle. Unfortunately, I will be returning it, as I specifically needed a bottle for carbonated beverages.

We love our Sigg bottles. They are easy to clean, fill and drink from. The best thing about them though is that they actually keep pop from going flat while also not expanding or exploding the bottle. I work in dog boarding so my bottles have gone flying and bouncing many times and have never broken, the lids despite repeated openings never have failed. I use mine daily as does my husband and son and they have withstood the test of time.
