    About five to ten seconds later I heard a startling “pop” and it was no longer supplying power to my device. It almost sounded like a popped capacitor, but I didn’t see any “magical smoke”.

    It appears to be designed “safely”, since it didn’t burn the office down, but failing within 10 seconds suggests that it’s made with inferior components, or the components weren’t properly soldered together.

    Two stars since it didnt start a fire.

    Buyer beware.

    Edit: opened plug and confirmed it was a popped capacitor. The input solder appears to have arced on the capacitor due to poor soldering.

    2/1/24 Update - I ordered a replacement and it’s working without incident. Changed 2 star review to 4 star review.
