    Definitely not "new"...
    As I was opening the box I noticed these stickers over the original specs. Fast forward to plugging it in, registering it, etc...and it won't charge. Chatted with Amazon support, was reassured that this was a new laptop. I ordered a 2nd charger just to see if the one that came with it was a dud and the new one didn't work either. After speaking with HP, they told me this computer is actually only built for 4GB, and sometimes with extended RAM things don't charge as they should.Splendid. Back to square one since I have a 2 day old, dead on arrival (basically) laptop.

    Things I didn’t love: that it tried to make me pay/upgrade for windows 11 when I first powered it up. I was super confused so I just skipped it and I had everything.

    Would definitely buy again though!

    The first sign of this being a bad purchase was when the power cord in the box was not for US 110 outlets (I purchased this in the US and ensured everything was the English version). I know I should have sent it back unopened immediately…but I was curious and impatient. I ordered a compatible power cord separately and it appeared to work.
    Second, the machine was incredibly slow to perform even the most basic operations. It had plenty of RAM and a good processor so it should’ve been screaming fast. But it was not.
    Finally, after I logged into my MS account and a few others, and installed all Windows updates, the laptop completely died. Dead as a doornail. Without power, I wasn’t able to log out of my accounts and/or restore the machine to its factory settings, and I wasn’t about to ship it back with my accounts vulnerable should someone be able to power it up another way. So…she gone. Destroyed and unrecoverable. I salvaged the RAM and SSD cards so at least I got something out of it.
