Shoes are well made and they fit as perfectly as this type of shoe has ever fit me.

The laces also work, and give much better support than a typical beach shoe - but they are not athletic shoes. They are well made, good fitting beach and board shoes.

The rating is based on the type of shoe - which is a beach and paddle board shoe.

I rate it five stars for comfort for a "beach" shoe, not compared to my Brooks. Keep that in mind. But these types of shoes are notoriously uncomfortable - these are not - these feel great.

The padding is insufficient for hiking over rocks, but will work for gravel, grass, sand, and packed trails.

Overall, I highly recommend them.
