How much Nicorette to chew in a day?

For the first 6 weeks after starting Nicorette, chew 1 piece of gum every 1 to 2 hours or whenever cravings occur (about 9 pieces a day). In weeks 7 to 9, chew one piece every 2 to 4 hours.
