Product Description

The American Educational SR-1405 vinyl catch ball with 24” diameter is used for learning U.S. state and capital facts, and depicts 66 questions covering 50 states for response. The SR-1405 is tossed between two or more players for an interactive experience, and is versatile for use in the classroom, playground, or home. Sample questions include “In what state will you find Pike's Peak?”, “How many states are in the U.S.?”, and “What is the longest river in the U.S.?” The ball has an answer sheet for instructional use, and is suitable for grades 2 to 7. Vinyl resists oil, has low moisture absorption, and is non-conductive. Science education products are commonly used as educational aids in scientific classrooms and office settings.

Science education products incorporate applied math and science principles into classroom and homeschool-based projects. Teachers in pre-K, elementary, and secondary classrooms use science education kits and products alongside science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum to demonstrate STEM concepts and real-world applications through hands-on activities. Science education projects include a broad range of activities, such as practical experiments in engineering, aeronautics, robotics, energy, chemistry, physics, biology, and geology.

American Educational Products, LLC, manufactures and supplies classroom materials and teaching tools for science and math education, as well as early childhood and active play products. The company was founded in 1986, and is based in Fort Collins, CO.

The ball was not easy to blow up and did not blow up as large as mentioned in the description. It was inexpensive but I still would have passed had I known they would not fill up to the size mentioned.

Pretty good game. I ran across a question that didnt actually line up with the answer sheet. Overall the kids love the play factor which increases their willingness to learn.

The unit that was delivered to me was safely inflated to 17" - NOT 24" diameter as stated in the item description. I am pretty sure that the ball would have burst long before it reached anywhere near 24". Perhaps someone measured the length prior to inflation - rather than the diameter after being inflated. I purchased this product only because of the advertised large size.

Minus one star for inaccurate description.
Minus another star because if the manufacturer does not know how to measure diameter, I cannot trust the "facts" printed on the ball to be correct.

Fun way to review state facts. We studied US geography this year so this was a great supplement to our homeschool curriculum.

For example, they think the capital of Alabama is Birmingham. Fun to play, but difficult to inflate, and hard to overlook glaring errors.
