This companies support for their products is superior to any company I have ever dealt with. Although their products are outstanding, and normally last longer than any of their competitors products, after close to 5 years of using their Behive blender this small piece on the base broke that kept the blender from working properly.
And even though I had been using the blender for close to 5 years, they told me that since the base of the unit had a 10 year warranty on it, that this was covered under their warranty.
So they sent me a brand new blender to replace the old one with without me even having to ship the old unit back to them.
That's what I call customer support. It doesn't get any better than Oster. They truly stand behind their products.

Pico de Gallo3 firm tomatoes, cut into chunks. 1 white onion, cut into quarters. 1 jalapeño pepper, halved (optional). ¼ cup lime juice. 1. Place food chopper onto blender base, then add cilantro and pulse until desired texture is reached. Set blended ingredient aside in a mixing bowl. 2. Repeat for each of the other ingredients, adding to mixing bowl after blending. 3. Combine ingredients in mixing bowl, incorporating everything together with the lime juice; add salt to taste. 4. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips and enjoy! |
Harvest Salsa1 onion, roughly chopped and 1 bulb garlic, peeled. 3 pre-chopped habanero pepper. 1 can pumpkin puree and 1 tablespoon apple cider. 3 ripe tomatillos and 2 green apples, peeled & chopped. 1 small clove fresh ginger and ½ teaspoon apple pie spice. 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil and ½ cup sugar and ½ teaspoon salt and fresh parsley. 1. Works great, but UNBELIEVEABLY LOUD!
We bought this to replace our ailing vintage beehive blender. :-( While it has the same general look, it has nowhere near the classic appeal of the old one as in you sorta can't really even tell if it's metal or plastic. That said, it blends well and has plenty of power. BUT, it is outrageously loud... sooo much louder than our old blender. It's literally painful to be in the room with it when it's blending, to the point it should really come with ear plugs, and I'm not exaggerating.I have a sound pressure level meter and it measured over 104 decibels (see photo), which is equivalent to running a chain saw or standing next to a subway train going by. I fail to understand why it would need to be so loud. That is a real downside. My wife gets up earlier than do and makes smoothies. It is impossible to sleep through (whereas the old one was not). And it's very uncomfortable to be near it when it's running.
