Hooray foe KBS and the 19-in-1 Model!
I've been baking with a bread machine only since Dec. 2023, at first with an old Hamilton Beach 10 cycle given to me by a friend. Wanting a safer non-stick coating, I purchased the KBS 17-in-1 with a ceramic pan in March 2024. There followed a series of emails with John at KBS, in which I asked for instructions missing in the recipe book for the 17-in-1. Ultimately, John referred me to Beth Hensperger's "The Bread Machine Lover's Bread Machine Cookbook," which is free on Kindle Unlimited and has become my principle guide. After that, John offered to give me a free 19-in-1 model in exchange for a review, and I accepted it. Unlike the 17-in-1, the paddle in the new model does not stick and is easily removed (I always oil it). It runs more quietly, and the single heating element browns just as well as the earlier model, which has 2 heating elements and a heavier ceramic pan. A touch pad with buttons replaces the smooth touch pad of the earlier model, which I often turned on accidentally while reaching around the machine. I am impressed with the company's responsiveness to customer's complaints about the 17-in-1 model, and look forward to becoming more expert at machine bread-making. My first loaf (above) was sourdough whole wheat; the second is a sourdough cinnamon swirl (I used a bit too much coconut sugar!), and a third loaf, sourdough sunflower seed honey bread, is in the cooker now. Given that I'm still learning, I don't know what it will look like, but I know it will taste good. At this point in time, after 3 days of using the 19-in-1, it seems a definite improvement over the previous model.Addendum: I forgot to note that the 19-in-1 doesn’t have a fruit & nut dispenser. This is a welcome change because the capacity of the dispenser was too small for most recipes, and with a high-rising loaf would mark the top of the bread. Here’s a photo of the sunflower seed bread, which is delicious. It is my first 2-lb. loaf.

This KBS Bread Maker is amazing. You just put the ingredients in the ceramic bowl (which I love) - wet on the bottom, then flours and then yeast, put in the machine and program as you like and in 3 hours you have a wonderful loaf of bread. I chose the light crust and large loaf. As you can see it is perfect. It slides out of the pan easily(just tip over) The bread I chose is very soft and tastes so good. I chose the soft/sweet bread but you can make all kinds of breads and other items including yogurt. I look forward to making sourdough bread soon. I also received my bread maker in less than a week. It is a very good investment. I recommend to anyone who wants to try to make perfect bread the easy way with no experience needed and not much effort required either. The machine will also keep your bread warm for you if you are not around when finished. Love this product!!

Not sure if I have the right machine. Description says silver and shows silver, I received black chrome does not match any of my Stainless steel appliances. Did not use, so no rating for functionality.

Nice machine, easy to use. Motor seems strong, will test that soon on a wheat loaf. So many settings, jam yogurt, dough!
