I just read through a whole lot of other peoples' reviews and I am surprised at any of the negative comments.
This is the first time I have ever made bread either by hand or using a machine, so I was prepared to experiment it.
In the days leading up to the Neretva arriving, I binged on Bread machine YouTubes.
I found the instructions simple and easy to understand with one exception, when can I take the dough out if I want to put it into a different pan or make rolls? I'm sure I will figure that out with a bit.of.practice.
I've made 2 loaves so far, one from the recipes provided and one from online, both turned out super tasty, I was delighted. The problem now is going to be keeping my bread consumption in check.
Tip: the first loaf I made was a 2lb loaf. I had all the ingredients for a 2lb loaf but ended up making a 1.5lb loaf. That happened because I set the loaf size before I set the program number and when I set the program # it reverted to the 1.5lb loaf setting and I didnt notice. EVen with using ingredients for a 2lb loaf and it only turning out a 1.5 lb loaf size, it was still really tasty, just very dense, which I didn't mind.
Some people say that it is noisy. I chose my dishwasher because it was virtually silent, so I'm not the type of.person who likes noisy appliances, but this does not seem noisy to.me at all. No it's not dead silent but.it.is only a gentle sound when it is kneading and not very loud at all.
Cleaning is easy. As soon as I tip the bread out, I put Dawn and hot water into the pan about half way up and let it sit for a while to soak off any baked on bits. This also seems to help with removing the little paddle cause 2/2 times it has been super easy.
The size is perfect for me, it fits into a corner on my counter so it's small footprint doesn't take up much space while it's cooking for 3 hours. It also fits neatly into a hall cabinet cause I am going tontry to only use.it once a week, so I don't eat too much bread.
All in all this little machine was well worth every cent!

I’m enjoying it more and more as I get used to it
I’m updating my review because the last few loaves have turned out pretty good and I really enjoy setting the timer so warm fresh bread is ready when my ravenous 14 yr old comes home from school.I realized it turns out much better if it sits, allowing water and butter to become room temperature. I also add a little more yeast and water than specified. First few attempts I think butter and way were cold so that may have thrown off the process.The first 3 attempts have been very underwhelming. My ingredients are fresh, yeast active. The bread is very dense, the top doesn’t brown at all, there are two sized but both very small. I will keep trying but the first 3 recipes I tried, basic quick bread whole wheat are only meh.
