I have a child who has a hard time going to sleep at bedtime, and generally does not enjoy being in his room once it gets dark outside and everyone starts to settle down in the house. He finds reasons not to stay in his room, and is difficult to get comfortable enough to sleep. Recently we started looking at the stars and constellations through a telescope, and astronomy has piqued his interest. I bought this little contraption to see if I could use it as an incentive to keep him in the room.
It worked wonders! The set up is as easy as finding a plug, and the design of the projector is very fitting. It looks more expensive than it is. The quality of the lighting is very good. I will warn you, like most consumer projectors, this is designed to be used inside when it is relatively dark. This isn't for mid-day usage as the light won't be easily seen in your rooms. The nebula allows you to change its color, and it looks great. My only knock is that the stars are all the same color; green! We can't change the star color, and altough it bothers me, it doesn't bother my son at all. He enjoys it so much, that he runs to his room at bedtime and just watches the stars on his ceiling!
