After getting it in the afternoon, I assembled it with my children, put eggs on it and began to try hatching for the first time. I don't know what kind of surprise will happen after 21days, so I look forward to it.

I just got this so I can’t say if it’ll get us chicks or not but based on how it looks and feels I believe it seems to be a good quality. We already have chickens but we wanted to try this out for more. I’ll report back with how many we get!!

I ordered the egg incubator on May 7th and it arrived on May 9th, very fast delivery, was handed to my spouse since she happened to be outside. It shipped via USPS, was intact and undamaged, shipped with one other small item I ordered, so the retail packaging was intact and undamaged despite it being storming at the time of delivery.

This is the first time I have ever researched or considered ordering an egg incubator. It was a lifetime ago when I was a child in elementary school when we raised and learned about baby chicks. I acquired this one because I wanted to be involved in early child development of my nephew, who lives on a farm with his parents. I thought it would be cool to begin a project with him from the day an egg is placed into the incubator, then spend time every day with him on watching, learning and caring as the egg develops and eventually hatches.

The fit and finish of the incubator is very nice, also not too big and not too small, footprint does not take up much space at all. I was not aware that you had to regulate humidity until I read the instructions, but not a problem since the incubator adjusts as necessary. I also was not aware that the eggs needed to be rotated until I read about this incubator and the auto egg rotation every two hours. The transparent cover is nice because my nephew can watch the eggs rotate every two hours, thus stimulating motivation about learning. The auto temperature control feature is nice, especially since it has an auto count down to shut off three days before ETA of when eggs will begin to hatch. The instructions are a little confusing, could be written better, but did understand what it was saying.

The web page description is very complete and informative, does not require a Rocket Scientist to start an education bonding project like this with your child or nephew or niece. But there are certain health and safety concerns that should be addressed before jumping into something like this. I am a strong advocate of early child development and the importance of a good education and strongly believe in parent involvement at every grade level and not just leave it up to the educators.

The only thing I did not order, although it is available is a Chick Brooder but I’ve read that those are easily made using a specific type and size incandescent light bulb. Then other feeding supplies but chicks will go back outside in the chicken coop once they are born. We will be throughly washing each egg before beginning this project, tomorrow, am excited.

The suggested MSRP is not cheap but I believe that expense should not be scrimped on when it comes to education. I am giving this egg incubator a 5 Star rating.
